Educate Others On Their Win—One of the most important things I have learned with my online companies over the last seven years is how to have “partnership” conversations for long-term growth. As you grow your membership-based business you must reach out and connect with other leaders on behalf of your membership. It is your job to bring their expertise to your organization (that is why the members join in the first place). As you engage in “partnership” conversations, follow these four steps for a solid and long-term partnership. You will be amazed how reciprocal and empathetic conversations can build solid relationships—even when they are virtual relationships.

  1. Find out what they need first (Listen)
  2. Create the bigger win for them (Trust)
  3. Make the partnership simple and fun (Simple)
  4. Put the “partnership” in writing (Clarity)
